Are you selling stand (Technological advances) Or joyful? Are you advertising retail or to institutional clients?
I think the road to creating wealth lies with focused content niches. Selling ways to problems, But not just training. A common approach to share a lot of free content and then add higher end products that might be sold to the primary customer base.
Depending on your scale and cost of operations you can make money with retail customers but revenues get capped out based on the number of customers you should acquire. Institutional customers conversely represent a steady source of recurring revenue.
Some startups talk about social media marketing companies6 revenues and leads generation but I am not sure if that model is really sustainable in the initial years when you have little traction. After getting traffic then certainly yes.
One of the models that we have looked at is using retail to test product ideas and get to break even while working on institutional sales quietly. I learn of atleast two e-Learning startups that did very well with the retail model related to a specific niche
